Romanticizing Research

Getting to do research is very liberating. Researchers have been to Mars and back on their couch.

Information is an empowering tool for every person.

Getting to know how things work, histories, stories, origins, and so many other things give a certain pleasure to researchers.

Research work is undoubtedly hardwork but for a researcher, it is soft work.

Like how lollipop gives children those big smiles on their faces, research sparks up many lights in the minds of researchers.

The ability to curate information and put pieces together makes you put yourself on the pedestal of geniuses.

Why am I speaking about research today?

I’m a research writer and I feel really proud of all the jobs I have done as a researcher.

Especially one I did on a topic I hadn’t heard before. This one was on a movie I hadn’t seen at all. (I just started watching today and I wrote on it last year).

I wrote like I had watched the movie more than once.

Wouldn’t have been able to pull it off if I had not researched like I was digging for gold.

All of that work made me feel like a genius, nothing short.

There’s this wonder of research, grilling your keypads to get information about something.

Watching every video to get clues.

Checking every article to find that one sentence.

Yeah, it is hard but THAT’S THE DELIGHT.

All I’m here to do is make you think there is more to research.

Researchers are often on sterioids; the data and information kind.

Always seeking to know more.

So, yes! There’s more to research than you have put your mind to or thought about.

Looking for a toxic but rewarding relationship? Try RESEARCHING.
